Hi everyone
Here are a few tips for configuring exceed to work right with NetView:
in your win.ini file add
[eceed]
defaultsystembeep=1

in xconfig-->video-->set the server visual to pseudocolor
in xconfig-->preformance-->change the system resource usage from 10 to 0 and
disable batch requests
in xconfig-->font-->font database-->advaced enable synchronous operation
(port number is 7500 and dont forget to start the font server on the aix
mchine )
                        good luck :)

Read this:

Download and install this executable.
It contains a number of fixes for the Host access component of Exceed.
ftp://ftp.hcl.com/pub/bbs/hostex/eng7001/exceed/expatch.1033.exe

Additionally, go to Start-->Programs-->Hummingbird Conn...-->System
Administration-->Update Hummingbird Exceed.
You will need the Exceed Source on hand to do the update (Microsoft
Installer requires it.)This updates the Xserver components of Exceed.
Also, go into xconfig-->Performance and try:
-changing the maximum backing stores to Always
-check the Save Unders box
in Xconfig-->Screen Definition
-Change the window manager to "Native" and not "Default to Native", try it
out after the upgrades. Dave Dimond says this made things worse but there is
a lot of confusion with those two settings and it can make quite a
difference. (People say native but really mean "Default to Native")
If you are still experiencing problems, let me know and I will submit the
issue to the QA team.
Regards
