Hi Lee
Use a most recently Netview for NT version (6.0.1)
Check that the line "localhost 1662" is present in the trapfrwd.conf
file.
register the trapfrwd daemon using the ovaddobj command.
There is no smconfig tool on NT. Read the sample configuration file
midmand.conf and create a file corresponding to your environnement.

Hi
Guys,I
haven't received a reply to my previous mail. If there's any Netview
for NT guru's out there that could help me I'd be grateful. I'm banging
my head against a brick wall at the moment :-)Another
question: The documentation keeps mentioning the
unix tool smconfig to configure the MLM for NT, which I don't have as I'm
running the Netview server on NT. How can I manually configure the
MLM for NT?Thanks
again.
Hi Guys, I wondering if you can
help me. I'm new to Netview. Were using
5.12 on Windows NT. I have setup Netview as a server in one of our
Data Centres(DC) and installed MLM for NT(so Netview's acting as an attended
MLM, right?) I have also installed Netview as a server in our Office.
I wish to use Netview in the office to gather all information from the
MLM in the DC. I know roughly how to do this, but I've come across
the problem that both the MLM and Netview server in the DC are receiving
traps on port 162. I need to change this so the netview receives
traps on another port, so it doesn't conflict with the MLM. I've
read the documentation, but I'm still not sure how to do this? Any
help would be appreciated. Thanks.
