Do put on the maintenance, as some things were fixed, and also
be sure that you are acknowledging from the bottom, not the top.
By that I mean drill down and acknowledge the interface card that
is actually down. Propogation flows up. It is a common mistake to
acknowledge the node or a subnet.

If you are having propagtion problems, I recommend you install the latest
maintenance, NetView 6.0.2. You can obtian it by calling 1-800-TIVOLI-8
and giving them your customer number or by sedning a note to
swdist@tivoli.com and giving them your customer number, company name, and
your name, address and phone (assuming that it should be sent to you)
there.

Subject: [NV-L] acknowledging devices
Hello To All,
I am running AIX 4.3.2 Netview 6.0,
When we acknowledge a device on a submap, the icon on the IP submap remains
yellow. (but everything underneath is green).
Also, in the smartset, the icon of the object that I had acknowledge
remains red...
can someone please explain this.. I am new to Netview so please excuse my
trivial question.
thanks
