Jorge,
This is what I did: clean install
Installed 4.3.3. AIX, created all FS and
directories.
created /usr/local/Tivoli/isntall_dir
ran the ./wserver -c script
the framework Installation ran successfully.
then I installed the Framework 3.7 patch.
(Desktop--Install--Install Patch--Framework 3.7 fro AIX
Endpoint)
this is where I am not sure if this is correct or an error. I
only have 1 Netview server (no other managed nodes or clients or endpoints)
that handles everything.
So, should I have installed 3.6.2, then 3.7, then
3.7.1
or
3.6.2 then 3.7.1
or
if I have 3.7 installed just go directly to 3.7.1
Does it even matter?
Another question: when I installed the patch 3.7 (clean
install) on my Netview Server, the only selection I got was Framework 3.7 for
AIX endpoint. Is my TMR Server also an endpoint? Or should I have selected
product install instead of a patch?
How do I uninstall the patch?
I apologize for asking basic questions, but I am new to
Netview and dont have anyone else here to ask.
Thanks for your replies.

>>> The version 3.7.1 is the most recent version of Framework,
in this version have support to Socket Layer 3 plus other fixes and
patches. If you install from previus version of 3.7 you need install
before the patch 3.6.5 and then upgrade to 3.7.1. The command odadmin
reexec all is probably dont work if you dont have setted the enviroment
variables (/etc/Tivoli/setup_env.sh), and/or then try
with: odadmin shutdown 1 if the TMR is the same NetView Server or
if you NetView Server is a Manged Node: odadmin shutdown

Discussion
To all, I just received Framework 3.7.1 and 3.7B, what is
the difference? Which one do I want to upgrade to? I installed 3.7, but have
not installed Netview yet, i am running into problems. Please
advise. _________________________________________________________________________ NV-L
