This is a multipart message in MIME format. xrdb -merge <file_name> causes the contents of the file to be merged in memory with the .Xdefaults you are currently using. Once again copying Nvevents to user directory do not work. But I manuallycopied nvevents.correlationRule variable into $HOME/.Xdefauts file for needed user and I set it to needed value, then I loged off and on in graphical environment (CDE) and it worked. So my problem is solved. Anyway, I made similar tests while changing same variable in $HOME/Nvevents with no success. I'm not very skilled in X-windows: what does "xrdb -merge file" do? Is this comparable to manually mentioned file content into .Xdefaults? > Wht operating system are you using? AIX? Solaris? What level?
