Subject: | [nv-l] [POLLING] DHCP, WINS and DNS |

I am using APM, MLM (threshold query) and SIA (command table) to fire off a custom script, every 5 minutes, that does a nslookup to verify that DNS is alive and well. I also do a tcp/53 port query with nvsniffer every 5 minutes. I use this method so that APM places an "Meter" icon at the interface representing status. Now I need to actively monitor DHCP and WINS in a similar fashion.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I will share my DNS (and Frame Relay) monitor with anyone that's interested.
Don
