Efforts were taken to establish an enhancement forum
for the purpose of knowledge sharing. It met with complete indifference.
Basically, no one would participate because advertising
was present on EZboard. (What would my boss say if he saw casino advertising on
my PC?)
While
we did not specifically form a conference committee, it would have been
impossible to arrange with zero participants.
Have
a look at http://www.ovforum.org to see
how an independent user group arranges such an event. I can only encourage you
to create such an user group with a board and a conference comity. Like this
mailing list the feedback users with real life experience can give are
often much more valuable than input from a vendor. The knowledge sharing taken
place during such an event is invaluable.

Has there ever been a NetView Users Conference? I recently attended a
Tivoli Users Group and it was very informative. The topics were all framework
related though. I thought that the NetView community would benefit greatly
from a Users Group based on NetView. Something like a 2 day session where we
could ask questions and share ideas on implementation and design strategies
etc. Would there be enough interest to get
Tivoli to host or at least assist
in the hosting of an event of this nature?
