If I understand you correctly, no. What you want to do is make a Netview
backup on
the current system, copy that backup filesystem over to the new system, and
install
Netview 7.1.2 there in the presence of that filesystem. It will
automatically merge the
saved data in. Taking the backup is a menu pick in serversetup. And on the
install,
I can never remember if you tell it to do an install or an upgrade. Check
the release
notes.

Leslie,  Thanks for the helpful information,  do these steps also apply to
moving the NetView Server maps/customization to another Server.

I was planning to install the NetView Code 7.1.2 on another system and
copy the /usr/OV/databases/ and customizations files onto it

Obviously, The existing NetView Server has already been upgraded to
7.1.2.

I was not sure if this was a supported options or not !
