Does Switch Analyzer allow you to be able to take actions on non-IP addressed ports?

I'd like to page people if one of the serial ports has a problem. I'm not sure I really need to have an icon on a submap, but I'd like to be able to recognize a problem situation and then page or email someone that it occurred and be able to identify the resource with the problem.

Jason,
By default, NetView works at layer 3 (IP), not down at layer 2. The new IBM
Tivoli Switch Analyzer product gives a start to Layer 2 but it still doesn't
draw you a map showing L2 connectivity. I think it might show you status
changes on switches on the map??? but not at a per-port level.

Cheers,
Jane
