Then you are most likely out of luck.
Older versions of NetView for UNIX could forward traps directly to
OpenView's trapd, but HP deliberately broke that link. Forwarding them
using SNMP (you mean as SNMP traps over udp I take it) is probably your
only option. See the man page on trapd and read about the options for
forwarding traps. As I said, the -f option to HP no longer works, o you
will be using either -m (selective forwarding) or -M (forward all). I
don't know whether HP will accept a TCP connection from us or not. The
only thing I know for certain that works is standard udp, since that will
send traps to anybody.

I want to transfer events from NV to OV and back.
One possible solution is SNMP. But I need a save transport.
What else can I use? I doent want to query the API.
