Check the man page for ovdelobj. The command, ovdelobj /usr/OV/lrf/nvpagerd.lrf,  places a "1" instead of a "0" at the beginning of the nvpagerd line in the ovsuf file. This prevents it from starting in the future.

Subject: [nv-l] nvpagerd.lrf

Netview 7.1.3 and AIX 5.1

I have specified the OVs_NO_START option in nvpagerd.lrf to stop nvpagerd from coming up when ovstart is executed. But nvpagerd is still getting started every time ovstart is executed. According to the doc, this option should stop the daemon from getting started if there are no other dependencies for the daemon; and that is the case with nvpagerd. No other daemons are dependant on nvpagerd.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Fawad
