This is user-configurable Dean. In SNMP Options on Windows or xnmsnmpconf on UNIX. There you will find all the polling cycle variables. James Shanks Level 3 Support for Tivoli NetView for UNIX and Windows Tivoli Software / IBM Software Group
When Netview reports a interface down in the event stream, how many ICMP polls has it sent to make the determination that this interface is down and how often does it do this? Same question on SNMP, when a router is reported down in the event stream, how many SNMP polls were made to determine it is down and how often does it do this at what intervals? Sorry, I remember this being asked in the group before and I have saved all messages over the past three years I've been with the group, but I did a search and couldn't find the thread where this was discussed. -- Dean S.
