Assuming you are also running a firewall, you have to open udp port 6000 for your X server (eXceed or whatever you are using) to get data from your X client (NetView). If you using nat, you have other configuration issues before you can use port 6000. Test with xclock first (small and fast, and it's useful: it tells you the time, maybe :-) Regards, Geo. Has any one had problems exporting the Display in AIX to be able to start the gui (Netview) via VPN? If so, how did you get around it? I can’t seem to do it from home. I’ve just acquired cable modem. Thanks, Herman E. Caballero
