it's not my situation... the services files are identical on the client and on the server....

I've seen this when the NetView port definitions were missing in %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\SERVICES on the NetView client.

yes I have it! and it's about the native console. see my replay to James's email.

Do you still have the drive mapped to the Netview server share?  If you mean the web client make sure you have the webserver daemon running.

hi again!

windows netview client 7.1.3 gives me an error: "The netview console cannot
connect to the netview server. exiting the console". it used to work but
now I receive this message and I don't know where to look for other
informations.
please help
