NetView 7.1.4 Fixpack 1 on Windows 2000 Professional All special symbols (including ".") that are taken from string fields from SNMP traps are automatically prefixed with "\" symbol. When I use it display or log some information containing i.e. IP address it makes it almost unreadable. I remember that this workaround is related with security issue (ability to run malicious code on NetView machine just by sending well crafted SNMP trap), but I can't remeber how to control that. I would like to simply get rid of these "\". Anyone remebers how to do it? Thanks in advance. Regards Bartlomiej Grenda |
