Is it a feature (add-on) that is part of the Tivoli Configuration Manager (Software Distribution and Inventory products) now. It allows these products to integrate with the NetView product (installed in a Framework environment), or at least use information that NetView knows about the network. NIMCM is really just a part of what the old TIPN add-on use to provide assuming you are familiar with TIPN. See the Tivoli Configuration Manager doc for more details or post to the Tivoli mailing group which is separate from the NetView mailing list. Where is this feature documented ? What does it do exactly ? Is it useful for anything for user using Netview and no other Tivoli tools ? or is it useful only when integrating with other tools ? I think part of the problem is most folk don't know about it. Another part is that the NetView team and the Tivoli team are often different groups and getting integration between NetView and other bits of Tivoli is more of an organisational problem rather than a technical one. On the positive side here, I am suddenly seeing lots more interest in getting integration between NetView and TEC - perhaps they will get around to NetView and Inventory next year? Anyone else???
