That i know, but what concerns me is that why does it shows it as "Down" when the device is Not Down...? ~Usman
Each switch has a "Layer2status" object at the interface level with an ip 0.0.0.0. This object represent the layer 2 status of the switch. The "ContainerLayer2Status" container (at the network level) is just there to contain all the different "Layer2Status" of the different switch that have been discovered by itsl2. If it show red, it means that all the switches discovered by itsl2 have been correlated as down by itsl2. AM Please respond to nv-l Hi, We have NetView7.1.4 FP3 with Switch Analyzer installed on Windows Machine. We have One Cisco(2950) switch on LAN. The NetView shows a symbol "ContainerLayer2Status" in red and when i open it there is an inteface with "0.0.0.0" ip address and it shows it as down. What is that "0.0.0.0" interface and why is it down? ~Usman |
