Also on UNIX you can just use nvtecia -stop to halt temporarily and nvtecia -reload to resume later. Renaming or deleting /usr/OV/conf/tecint.conf is more permanent. On Windows ovstop tecad_nv6k or use the Server Setup GUI to do it temporarily. A permanent solution is to de-register the daemon.
