This might help you. I run Bay Networks Optivity 8.1.1 on the same host as Netview. When Optivity starts, it redefines port 162 to port 412 and it daemon FaultCorrelator then takes over. So long as the Netview daemons are started first and then the Optivity daemons, there is no problem. However, if the Optivity daemons are started first, no way will Netview run. regards, kg |
