paging functions

I am a newby so be gentle.  I am running Netview for NT v.5.1 and have
never seen the Unix version.  I know that if I want to send pages to
notify someone about an event, that there must be a modem installed and
nvpager must be configured.  Does the AIX version of Netview also
support this except not thru a modem but email?
