Now I am the one who is confused (perhaps I have been from the start).

OK, let's start over. If PJ26414 does not apply to you then what EXACTLY is the
problem you are having?
Does your trapd hang or loop with messages about do_purge or not?

Perhaps I am wrong about the nature of the fix. I did not produce it. One of
my colleagues did. All I know for certain is that I had to help test the thing
and test it we did. The end result was that the trapd we put the fix in spent
days in the verification lab getting thousands of traps sent to it and
processing normally. And it worked equally well with Access and SQL Server.

So I recommended it basically as the latest version of trapd. If I misled you,
then I humbly apologize.

As far as the chain of command goes, I am not certain what to say. I have noted
here before that to obtain efixes properly you have to get your problem to Level
2 NetView here in RTP. They are the keepers of those things. If you are
outside the US, then your local group will likely not know anything about them,
as they are still experimental. If you are talking to Level 2 NetView, then you
are in the right place and they should know what is going on.

James,

I check with support, the fix support suggested
according PJ26414 was running Access instead of SQL.
Are you sure there is a E-fix for it? Has the news of
it propagated down the support chain?

Thanks
Xu He
