Not to let the cat out of the bag, but Tivoli and 3Com are working to
resolve this issue. We both realize we need to do a better job of making
sure NetView has 3rd party apps that integrate with it.

OK lets see who uses Netview 5.1 on Solaris 2.6 and wants to integrate
3COM Transcent 5.0.
According to the information in the Transcend DOC (INSTALLATION GUIDE
p18) it is "NOT" supported for Tivoli Netview at all on any platform,
and 3COM sales concur.
I clearly don't see much 3rd party support for Netview. It's up to the
users and TIVOLI to drive this issue.
Must Princeton rethink the issue of switching from HP OpenView, which
has great 3rd party support.
