Yes, it is. The AIX version of CiscoView will integrate with NetView (if
it's on the same server), and use the SNMP community strings configuration
defined in NetView. A new feature of CiscoView version 4.2 also lets you
save community strings for a device. Select Options, Community Strings from
the CiscoView window. If you save community strings for a device, they will
be written to your .cvprevious file (which should be in your home
directory).

Subject: CiscoView and NetView/AIX 5.1.2
Hi all,
I have CW2000 4.2 with CiscoView and NetView/AIX 5.1.2 installed.
My problem is, that I always have to enter the community-strings, if
I want
to open a device with CiscoView.
Is there a possibility that CiscoView is using the community-strings
defined in
NetView ?
Mit freundlichen Grüßen - Best regards
Gerd
