The point was that any Smartset whose membership is dynamic is useless on a r/o map, since it takes a r/w map to see things move into and out of it. Smartsets whose membership does not change are ok, as their status is updated for both r/o and r/w. I always define two Smartsets: ProblemNodes: (IP Status is Critical or IP Status is Marginal) and isNode is True ProblemInterfaces: (IP Status is Critical and isInterface is True) These are very useful, but not on a r/o map.
