In 'Options.. Event Config', under the MLM enterprise (not the MLM
Threshold
enterprise, but the other one), there will be status traps. Modify, and
change
the settings there. After your investigation you can set them back to
'Dont log or display'.

Thank you for your help.
Could you please be more specific when speaking about MLM status events
from 'Dont log or display' to 'Log only'
Where can i find this option.
Cordialement.

Discovery(Document link: Maxime TRANNOY)
I would suspect that the presence in the ping list is not meaningful.
Netmon
is responsible if MLM fails to do the job, so it has to keep track of when
the
ping is due. Netview is not going to change the status on the map until it
gets word
that the status has changed. MLM is not going to send an update until
the status actually does change. So when you ping it from Netview, it is as
if netmon broke it but you are waiting for mlm to fix it.
The other time when MLM will reset all status is when it starts up. If you
recycle MLM, you should get a flood of status traps because it does not
know how long it has been down or what has happened in the meantime.
It might help you see what is going on if you change the MLM status events
from 'Dont log or display' to 'Log only'. Restart MLM, and watch what
happens in the trapd.log. You should see simulated netmon status events
following each mlm status trap.

Hi,
thanks for your reply. To answer your questions
1. My equipment is in the smarset mlmDomain and also in MLM Managed ( On
the map under the icon of the MLM)
2.The trap forwarding between Netview and the MLM works.
3.I have checked with the command netmon -a 102. The equipment is monitored
by the MLM.
I have also checked with the command netmon -a 12. The IP address of the
equipment is also there. (I think it should not be there because this is
the netmon polling list). Is it possible to delete it from the list?
The node down/ node up seems to work
When I ask Netview to ping it the icon goes red (which is normal because i
can not ping my equipment from netview) but it doesn't change back to
green, even after waiting for several hours.
Cordialement.
