Layers 8-9?? Was I asleep at class when these layers were taught?


These layers are not taught in any class. They are learnt in the business 
world. 
These 2 topmost layers govern most networks. Budget and Politics. 

It was just a bit of humour... did you see the "smiley" at the end of the 
sentence? The " :) "?
I was not being serious... these layers do not officially exist as part of the 
real OSI model,
but I do find they are very real and present in the real world. Stephen was 
recommending 
I take a look at the new P160 AIX boxes. Unfortunattely I do not have an 
unlimited budget.
Those decitions are taken much higher up the corporate ladder. The higher up 
you go, the
more politics are involved.
