You are on UNIX, are you not?
The context menu for events is fixed and has no API.
However, you can achieve something similar to what you want using the
Options --> Additional Actions menu.
There are several additional actions supplied.
This allows you to build an underlying script which can be launched by the
user by highlighting one or more events and following through that menu
path.
Details on how you pass the event elements to your script are in the man
page for trapd.conf
While you could update trapd.conf directly, the preferred method is to
use xnmtrap. That should prevent you from messing up the syntax so badly
that trapd cores trying to read what you put in. If you bring that up,
then you'll see a big button on the lower right entitled, "Configure
Additional Actions . . ."
Have fun

Subject: [nv-l] Custom Menu Functionality from NV Event List
Hello Everyone,
Does NV have a method for me to add a customized menu item, i.e.; Tool,
Script, etc? Ideally, I'd like to be able to 'right-click' on an event
within the event list and have the menu item appear as part of a drop down
list of items - giving the end user the option to select the item and
execute the selection.
I was wondering if anyone out there has attempted something similar, and
if so, how did you facilitate it?
Many thanks,
Dan
