James,

I am running this through the Tivoli Framework – I am running the winstall command on my TMR Server pushing the files to the Netview machine.

To determine what is running on the Netview server, I just ran ps –eaf | grep ov

I don't understand.  Normally when you upgrade on UNIX the command window shows only a series of dots being put to the screen as the install proceeds.  So how to you know what command is being run?  What else did you do besides run the upgrade command?

I have been running an upgrade of my production NetView server from 7.1.1 to 7.1.3 this morning – it is taking a very long time to run!  It has been running the command

/usr/OV/install/system/OVIPMAP/customize AIX ovinstall

for over an hour now!  Is this to be expected, or has something gone wrong that I should be worried about?

Thanks,

Brian
