Thanks for the replies. The mib in question was the Cisco process mib.

I had to change the mib expresion:

cpmCPUTotal1min OBJECT-TYPE
    SYNTAX Gauge(1..100)

to

cpmCPUTotal1min OBJECT-TYPE
    SYNTAX Gauge

Recompile the MIB. Things work ok now.
