Fromw hat I have gathered and understand the MLM code for NT is compelte different then the UNIX MLM code. If the UNIX flavor of MLM does not use the IP address to uniquely identify a MLM MIB oid, then it may be ueable to use a UNXI to UNIX MLM type scenario. The map updating however troubling, may be overcome. But if the UNIX MLM still uses the IP address as an identifier in a OID then the point is mute. Thank you Chris Petrina
Paul, I agree that traps would automatically go to local and central NetView, but if you used APM at the central Netview, only the central NetView would have icons that would change colors when the traps arrived. The local NetView would get the trap...but no map change.
