You can also send sms like any other text message with the nvpagerd daemon.
Any phone able to receive a sms is able to receive alphanumerical pages. As
Netview is monitoring the network, I tend to avoid using the network (ie
send an email) to send my alerts when there is an outage.

can be generated from the netview ??
