I have seen the problem with the GUI not going down on a machine with the following specifications:- -AIX 4.3.2 -Framework 3.6.1 -Netview 5.1.1 The problem seems especially bad from a PC Xwindows software client ( eg. Exceed ) and from a CDE environment. Are there any other observed symptoms of the problem. In particular I am curious about things like the following:- -GUI hanging -Pull Down menus not working -GUIs failing to shutdown then needing to be killed using a "kill -9" on the "ovw" pocess. Could they, alternaively, be caused by machine restarts without carefully taking down the relevant Tivoli and Netview daemons first? Regards, Simon Long Netview Technical Soluions Pty Ltd |
