I am just guessing here.   If you haven't changed your app defaults, (and who 
would make them all pink) then I don't know
what to tell you.  If you are using the CDE, try running without it and see if 
that makes a difference.   You could also try
running the command   appres OVw   and  appres Nvevents  to see what X thinks 
are your X resources for these classes.   I
hope those commands are available on Solaris as they are supposed to be part of 
the standard X window implementation, but who
knows.    When you are telnet'd in, you are using the X resource settings on 
the box where the display is and not those on
the client, so that's where I am suggesting you look.    Are you sure no one 
else is telnet'd in and running something on the
client machine?

As puzzled as you are.

James, nothing else is running on this workstation. Could you point me
to some things in Netview client configuration where I should check.
