I tried to remove /usr/OV/tmp/explore_xxxx and restarted NetView.
Did not work for me. Read-write permission should be
administered from SysAdmin option to prevent the map from Read-
Write.

I think the only way of doing this at the moment is to ONLY have a
"read-only" NetView GUI open and available to the Web Client. Start the
NetView GUI with the command "netview -ro".
OR
Each NetView GUI which is started creates a file called
/usr/OV/tmp/explore_xxxx. You could try deleting the explore_xxxx which is
associated with the read-write map so as to prevent the Web Client having
access to it. I haven't fully tested this so don't know what the side
affects are if any but it does prevent you from opening the map associated
with this explore_xxxxx file.

Subject: [NV-L] Web Client required to be Read Only

Dear Group,

I have implemented the Web Client a while ago on Netview 6 (both NT and
Unix), but inorder to roll it out proberly I would like it to only be
availalbe Read Only, as I don't trust the people that I am rolling it out
to.

Is there any way of limiting access of the web client to prevent anyone
making changes.
