James, You are the man!. Thank you soooo Much!... Really appreciate it.. Now I have next question .. I really need this going.. I know Compaq trap definitions are loaded in trapd.conf and I'm seeing those traps on the netview event window but they are not forwarded to TEC server.. It's the same issue again... They are not defined in oid, .cds file & tecad_nv6k.conf file. How do you suggest on adding them.. Is there any documentation? I may need to load about 15 to 20 trap definitions.. One thing i can tell for sure... I have another NetView on AIX and it was fantastic doing that.. I'm biting my thumb for having gone on windows.. Thanks as usual.. Try this CLASS Link_Up SELECT 1: $TYPE = 3 ; FETCH 1: IPNAME($AGENT_ADDR) MAP msg = "Link Up SNMP Trap" ; hostname = $F1 ; END James Shanks Level 3 Support for Tivoli NetView for UNIX and Windows Network Availability Management Network Management - Development Tivoli Software, IBM Corp _______________________________________________ NV-L mailing list NV-L@lists.ca.ibm.com Unsubscribe:NV-L-leave@lists.ca.ibm.com http://lists.ca.ibm.com/mailman/listinfo/nv-l (Browser access limited to internal IBM'ers only) _______________________________________________ NV-L mailing list NV-L@lists.ca.ibm.com Unsubscribe:NV-L-leave@lists.ca.ibm.com http://lists.ca.ibm.com/mailman/listinfo/nv-l (Browser access limited to internal IBM'ers only) |
