James,
You are the man!. Thank you soooo Much!... Really appreciate it..
Now I have next question .. I really need this going..
I know Compaq trap definitions are loaded in trapd.conf and I'm seeing those traps on the netview event window but they are not forwarded to TEC server..
It's the same issue again... They are not defined in oid, .cds file & tecad_nv6k.conf file. How do you suggest on adding them.. Is there any documentation? I may need to load about 15 to 20 trap definitions..
One thing i can tell for sure... I have another NetView on AIX and it was fantastic doing that.. I'm biting my thumb for having gone on windows..
Thanks as usual..
Larry

Larry,
So what you want to do is to capture the hostname of the agent which sent
the trap, correct?
Try this

CLASS Link_Up
  SELECT
    1: $TYPE = 3 ;
FETCH
      1:  IPNAME($AGENT_ADDR)
  MAP
    msg = "Link Up SNMP Trap" ;
    hostname = $F1 ;
END
