Probably what happened is that you put
host names without the domain name part
(the usual practice), then used that to
create your named.data and named.rev
files and now DNS (actually reverse DNS
is the important part) returns only the
hostname without the domain name. NetView
will change the Selection Name when it
notices that the name has been changed
(pretty sure of that, can someone confirm),
at it's own pace of course so you don't see
the changes right away (probably during a
poll for configuration changes).
Jame's suggestion to do a nslookup
(set type=ptr) to see what a reverse
lookup returns will reveal all.
