The sad truth is that if you're concerned with the privacy or use of a
given email address, you simply can't use that email address on a
public forum no matter who runs it.
If the spammer isn't a direct member of the mailing list (able to read
your unmunged email address right out of their INBOX), they could
easily pick it up in a web search once they discovered the
web-accessible NetView archives.
Or, even more likely, the spam web bots spidering the web for anything
that looks like an email address using varying levels of intelligence
to associate a profile by context scoured your name off a web page
somewhere--perhaps the online netview list archives:
