Make sure that the "community" string, as reported by the following command, is the same on both servers:
    xnmsnmpconf -res DeviceName
Where "DeviceName" is the "Selection Name" of the Network device in question.

Sorry I miss-understood.  I'm not sure how this would make a difference... they both get the same information from the network device and the v6 Netview always shows it up, while the v7 Netview shows it red.  If the CPU was pegging out at 100% it seams that both server databases would be effected.

No, they both do SNMP.

Let me be more specific... :-)

For that ATM device... does NetView 7.x and NetView 6.x have the exact same interfaces discovered? If you do an ovobjprint <hostname> do you see the same number of interfaces from both NetViews?

The CPU comment was for the network device, not the NetView servers. When you do a demandpoll (from both NetViews) you see them both doing ICMP polls?
